Notting Hill Carnival, London – 26th August
It wouldn’t be Summer Bank Holiday without Notting Hill Carnival. Watch the streets come alive, listen to the steel bands, be in awe of the colourful outfits and dance until your feet hurt. It’s the wild all-weekend party that you have to do at least once in your life. Top tip: people love to dance, open-toe shoes are a no-go.

Set up in Brighton in a place with fun backdrops and exciting environments; this funhouse puts all your dream locations under one roof. Take as many photos as you like and add it to the Insta bank. Extreme Sailing Series™, Cardiff – 24th-27th August
Part of the Cardiff Harbour festival, Extreme Sailing Series™ is returning to Cardiff Bay for an adrenaline-fuelled bank holiday weekend. Hosting hydro-foiling GC32 catamarans, the line-up consists of Olympians, World Champions and America’s Cup superstars. Do this for a nail-biting day of racing.
