Founder Bella Middleton has cracked the age-old problem of why it’s so tricky to buy for the man in your life: “Men are – excuse the vast generalisation – massively particular!”
The brand she set up in 2012 with husband Hugo does away with the common assumption that men only like ‘laddish’ or gimmicky stuff – Men’s Society sells a range of luxury grooming products and lifestyle accessories for the modern man, designed and created by hand, in-house. “We believe the details define a product’s quality; the materials, ingredients and design demonstrate the thought that’s gone into the product,” Bella says.
The idea came from a gap in the market spotted by the founders themselves. “I couldn’t find Hugo a present, so we set up Men’s Society to make the kind of thoughtful, high-quality gifts I was searching for.” Result.
